There are currently over 2400 registered Carpool.ca participants in the Edmonton
Region!
This was Edmonton’s Third Annual Carpool Week Campaign and commuters were once again
invited to ‘Pledge to Pool’. By pledging on-line to carpool at least once before
the end of October, Edmonton and area carpoolers were entered into a random draw
and the following prizes were awarded:

Saskatoon’s new Carpool.ca program already has over 200 registrants! This was Saskatoon’s
2nd Annual Carpool Week. By pledging on-line to carpool at least once during Carpool
Week, Saskatoon carpoolers were entered into a random draw and the following prizes

Saskatoon’s 2009 Pledge to Pool campaign was responsible for reducing 9,410 vehicle
trips to and from Saskatoon.
Okanagan (Kelowna, Kamloops & Vernon) - November 16 - 20, 2009
Okanagan
Thanks to sponsorship from Carpool.ca, everyone who pledged to carpool at least
once before November 27 had a chance to win of the following prizes:

Kelowna
The third week of November marked the third annual Carpool Week in the Central Okanagan.
Fun, interactive and informative booths were located at select major Kelowna employers,
including the UBC Okanagan campus throughout the week to promote carpooling, encourage
employees to Pledge to Pool and award additional prizes to participants.
Carpool.ca is an initiative that reflects the City of Kelowna’s environmental stewardship
and commitment to providing opportunities for citizens to reduce their impact on
the environment.
Vernon
The City of Vernon will also be participated in their second annual Carpool Week,
November 16-20, 2009. An interactive TDM Booth was set up at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Employees were encouraged to stop by and participate in the Who Wants to Clean a
Million Air Game for chances to win prizes.
By pledging on-line to carpool at least once before November 27, 2009, Vernon carpoolers
were entered into a random draw for prizes including a $300 fuel gift certificate.
The Okanagan’s 2009 Carpool Week campaign reduced 39,887 trips!
